About us
Spotpilot AB is a Swedish company that is 100% owned by its two founders. We sell a product, Spotpilot, which is designed to optimize home batteries. The idea for Spotpilot came from the fact that our home batteries lacked any form of intelligence and that we found it cumbersome to manually control the batteries in order to achieve optimal usage. There are solutions on the market, but we think that they are unnecessarily expensive and complicated to install.
The founders Jacob & Peter together have over 30 years of experience in software development. We find it very exciting to work with green technology. Openness and transparency are guiding principles for both of us. This is also reflected in our development process, where we have utilized open source software such as the Linux operating system and the Rust programming language.
– We are not driven by the pursuit of profit or by the goal of becoming a major player.
– We are driven by having satisfied customers, whether they are end users or installers. We are motivated by building a product that we can be proud of.
– We believe in doing the work ourselves, staying close to the customer, and overseeing the entire chain—from hardware and software to customer service, etc. We personally handle customer service inquiries.
– Our goal is for as much of the Spotpilot unit as possible to be manufactured in Sweden, or at least Europe. It is assembled and tested locally by us, in Hestra, Småland.
